What this website collects, and why
Two things: the details you type into a form, and anonymous counts of page views. There are no cookies, no advertising code and no third-party analytics script.
The forms
When you ask for the free sheet, we store your email address and, if you give them, your site or business name and your role, with the date, the country the request came from, your browser's type (its user-agent string) and a campaign label if the link you followed carried one. We use the address to send a corrected sheet if the guidance changes. If you tick the box, we also use it to tell you when the SpaLog app is ready, in one or two emails with an unsubscribe link. We do not use it for anything else and we do not pass it to anyone.
When you reserve a founding place, we store your email address, site or business name, number of hot tubs and number of staff who test, with the same date, country, browser type and source details. We use them to send you the payment link, to ask you one or two questions about how testing is organised on your site, and to size the first version. A reservation is not a contract and nothing is charged until you choose to pay the link.
The lawful basis is your request (sending the sheet or the payment link) and, for product news, your consent. Records are kept for two years from your last contact, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner. Write to tom@weevolve.app to see, correct or delete what we hold.
Page counts
Our server records that a page was viewed or the sheet was downloaded, with the page path, the site you came from if your browser says so, a campaign label if the link carried one, and the country. The page also records, once, that the reservation form scrolled into view. None of this records your IP address, a user ID or anything set on your browser. These counts tell us whether the sheet is useful and where people find it.
Where it is kept
On Cloudflare's platform, in a database operated by We Evolve. Cloudflare processes the data on our instructions.
Who we are
We Evolve is Tom Murton's studio in the United Kingdom. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we have handled your details badly, but we would rather hear from you first.
